The Use Of PER 3TM As A Light Therapy Device


  • Please place the PER 3TM at slight angle to your face. Sit comfortably about 50 centimeters away from the light to get exposure of bright light. Rotate the lamp head and allow the light to bathe over your face. For optimal light therapy results your eyes need to be kept open, but you do not need to look directly into the light. If you find yourself feeling sensitive to the bright light when first using it, adjust intensity (brightness) and duration (timer) settings. 
  • It is recommended to use the lamp from 15 to 30 minutes daily, combining dawn and light therapy sessions, immediately after your morning wake-up.
  • People usually start feeling better within a few days of using the PER 3TM for 30 minute daily session. 
  • According to studies, wake up naturally to light and get light therapy upon awakening can reverse symptoms of SAD fast.

 


The Use Of PER 3TM As A Sunrise Clock


The Bright Light Therapy Device PER 3TM simulates the light of naturalistic summer dawn by increasing raising the intensity of light prior to the alarm/wake up time. This helps you wake up gradually and complete your sleep cycle naturally. The sunrise process includes the Naturalistic Dawn Simulation, Dawn Pulse, and Bright Light Therapy. The back-up alarm is also included to ensure that you wake up when you first use it.  Please note that everyone has different natural sensitivity to the light in the morning. More sensitive people need less time to wake up when exposed to the light. Try different settings (e.g. 30, 60 or 90 minutes), until you find the perfect natural awakening time. For best results, use dawn simulator functions for the morning wake-up- For best results, position the lamp on your bedside stand and use the light at an angle to your face over the pillow.

The Use Of PER 3TM As A Reading Lamp


You may read by the lamp after the light therapy sessions have ended. Or you can read it during the night time. It can be used as a regular reading lamp by focusing the light onto your reading material. The PER 3TM used LEDs that do not strain eyes for long period of intensive reading or studying. Different form soft incandescent light or flickering fluorescent light, LED light might is much more comfortable and entertaining to use.
